NEW YORK, JANUARY 30 – The Italian Mission to the United Nations and FAO hosted a “productive” meeting on food security to address the follow-up to the Food Systems Summit+2. Goal of the session, chaired by Permanent Representative Maurizio Massari, was to chart past and future joint actions to tackle food crisis and deliver on food security.
“Italy is committed to stepping up efforts on this key global priority, through financial contributions and multiple initiatives as chair of UN Group of Friends for Food Security, as well as President of the G7 for 2024″, said Massari. Fighting food loss and food waste goes hand in hand with Italy’s commitment to strengthening food security and transforming production systems. (@OnuItalia)
