NEW YORK, MARCH 24 – A few important agreements were signed during the second World Water Conference whose proceedings folded up today at UN Headquarters. The Italian Minister for the Environment, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin signed the latest Memorandum of Understanding between Italy and CARICOM countries.
The agreement is yet another key step to boost the cooperation for sustainable development between the Caribbean region and Italy, the Italian Mission said on Twitter.
Pichetto also met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Ruslan Strilets, to whom he reiterated Italy’s commitment to strengthening cooperation for environmental protection as part of the broader support to Ukraine’s reconstruction. (@OnuItalia)
