NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 19 Today, in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Meetings of the 77th General Assembly, Italy and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) sealed a deal on the “Programme supporting sustainable development projects in Caribbean Community countries”, signed by the Italian Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Maurizio Massari, and the President of the CDB, Hyginus Leon.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Marina Sereni, attended the ceremony and pointed out that the Programme is part of Italy’s constant support to the Caribbean countries’ sustainable development priorities. The Deputy Minister also stressed that the nature and goals of the Programme are consistent with the programme of Expo Rome 2030, whose theme is “People and territories: urban regeneration, inclusion and innovation”.
